Kouzenji Temple

The family temple of the Ikeda Clan, Tottori Domain Lord. You can see the splendid Shoin Garden filled with intimate quiet mood, the tomb of a great swordsman Hongaku Usui, the tomb of Kazuma Watanabe, a Hidden Christian Lantern (Kirishitan doro) as the protected cultural asset designated by the prefecture, and so on.

Genchuji Temple

The temple is the family temple of the great swordsman Araki Mataemon who is famous for Igagoe Adauchi, which is one of the great three revenges (Adauchi) of Japan. In addition to his grave located near the temple gate, you can see the exhibition of his belongings. Moreover, Fusuma paintings of Arhats by Keitaro Takagi attract the viewers with its really vigorous expression.
