Shikano SOBA DOJO
A restaurant that offers an authentic soba making experience
Soba is a traditional Japanese noodle that is deeply rooted in Japanese culinary culture as a simple and healthy dish. Shikano, a town surrounded by beautiful waters and greenery, is known as a production area for buckwheat flour, the main ingredient of soba.
Shikano SOBA DOJO offers an authentic soba making experience. It is a truly special experience to make and taste your own soba, while enjoying the interaction with the local instructors.
At the dining area, you can savor delicious dishes made with carefully selected local ingredients. The highlight is the aromatic tebiki-soba (hand-ground soba), with only 10 servings available per day. We also recommend Wattaina, a soba shochu made with 100% Shikano-produced soba.
