Lake Koyama
Japan’s largest pond, with a rich natural environment and beautiful sunsets
Located west of downtown Tottori, Lake Koyama is known as Japan's largest pond with a circumference of 18 km and covering an area of 6.9 km2.
In addition to gardens and a camp site, the area is also equipped with facilities for various sports activities. Aoshima, located in the middle of the pond, is a popular spot for its beautiful cherry blossoms and sunsets. Seasonal flowers bloom in a vibrant array of colors in the Koyama Ike Natural Garden, providing a soothing experience for visitors.
Sightseeing boats are also available in limited seasons, and we recommend this different mode of enjoying the scenery from the water.
