Camel Riding Experience
Take a leisurely ride on an adorable camel or pose for photos
At Tottori Sand Dunes, you can take a ride on a camel with a guide for about 5 minutes, or pose for photos on a camel. Camels are friendly and keen to serve, so even young children can have a good time without any worries.
After enjoying the sand dunes, we recommend stopping by the gift shop, Rakudaya. Try the famous pear soft-serve ice cream or purchase cute camel-themed merchandise.
◆ Information on camel riding experiences
Starting in 2024, only commemorative photo sessions will be offered on weekends, national holidays, spring holidays, summer holidays, autumn holidays, winter holidays, Golden Week (late April to early May), and Silver Week (mid-September).
(On most weekdays, operations are also focused mainly on photo sessions.)
Please note that operations may be suspended on the day without prior notice due to weather or the camels’ condition.

*Camels will only walk near the riding area and will not be allowed to enter the Umanose area (special protected area).
*Depending on how tired the camel is, rides may be limited to children only.
*Children who are not afraid of camels may ride alone (children who can sit up independently).
