Kannon-in Temple Garden
A beautiful garden for enjoying a moment of refined tranquility
Designated as a national place of scenic beauty, this garden is located in Kannon-in Temple, established in the 1600s. The sloping lawn is designed to blend seamlessly and beautifully with the mountains in the background.
The admission fee includes tea and sweets, so visitors can enjoy a moment of refined tranquility, sipping matcha while admiring the garden.
Kannon-in Temple houses a statue of Kannon known as Shusse Kannon (shusse meaning career advancement), attracting many visitors who come to pray for success in their careers.
There are also gorgeous seasonal views, including cherry trees along the sando (approach to the temple) in spring, red leaves in autumn, and snow-covered landscapes in winter.
The temple is located close to Tottori Toshogu Shrine and Ochidani Park, so we recommend visiting these attractions as well.
