Lake Koyama, Aoshima Park
A park that soothes and heals visitors with flowers and waterside natural environment
Lake Koyama is one of the most famous scenic spots in Tottori. Aoshima, a tiny island just 1.8 km in circumference, floats in the middle of the lake. In spring, approximately 500 cherry trees, comprising about 30 cherry blossom varieties, bloom beautifully alongside yellow rapeseed flowers. Take a leisurely stroll along the promenade and immerse yourself in the natural environment, or head to the observation platform at the summit to enjoy the breathtaking views. From here, you can overlook Lake Koyama and gaze out across the vast Sea of Japan.
There is also a spacious lawn area and playground equipment for children to play in. Vehicles are prohibited on Aoshima, and it has been developed as a place where children can play safely in.
