Kasumi Matsuba-gani Festival

An event where you can indulge in the finest crab

At Kasumi West Port in northern Hyogo Prefecture, the Kasumi Matsuba-gani Festival, held every November, is an event where visitors can enjoy Matsuba crab and Kasumi crab, two winter delicacies that are representative of Kasumi Town.

Matsuba crab is a high-quality male snow crab known for its firm meat and strong, sweet flavor. Kasumi crab is a red snow crab caught at Kasumi Port, and is popular for its vibrant red color and melt-in-your-mouth sweetness.

In addition to these fresh crabs, the event venue also features processed seafood products such as dried goods, as well as marine and agricultural produce and other delicious ingredients from Kasumi. Unique stage events are also held. This is a festival where you can enjoy the finest crabs available only in Kasumi.
