Tottori Saji Astro Park

An astronomical observatory where you can experience space up close

This is municipal astronomical observatory is equipped with one of Japan's largest telescopes (103 cm in diameter). Professional staff provide commentaries at the planetarium, introducing the highlights of the day's astronomical observations based on a different theme each day.

There are also accommodation facilities with telescopes inside the park. Upon check-in, guests receive an explanation about the telescope from the professional staff, after which they can enjoy carrying out astronomical observations on their own. It is also possible to attach a camera to the telescope to take photos.

This is a rare opportunity to experience the starry skies up close and appreciate sights that cannot be easily seen in everyday life.
