Tojikan
A facility where you can learn about the profound world of Japanese sake, and experience it with all five senses
Located near Arayu, the source of Yumura Onsen's hot springs, this sake facility offers visitors the change to gain in-depth knowledge about the appeal of traditional Japanese sake through hands-on experiences.
Sake is made from rice, rice malt, and water, and the exceptional skills of the artisans known as toji (master brewers), who oversee the production process, are essential to this process. The facility features displays of the traditional techniques of toji, sake-making tools that have been used since ancient times, and the production process. Former toji with a wealth of experience provide clear easy-to-understand explanations about sake.
You can also go for a sake-tasting experience to sample and compare several types of sake.
