Hakuto Shrine

This place is the stage of the myth "White Rabbit in Inaba" and White Rabbit god is enshrined in Hakuto Shrine.
It has Mitarashi Pond said to have been the place where the white rabbit washed itself. It is said the benefit of visiting the shrine is not only the recovery from skin disease but also the good marriage because the rabbit helped the Okuninushi god marry Yakamihime, a supreme beauty.

Access About 40 minutes by bus from Tottori Station Bus Terminal. The nearest bus stop is "Hakuto-jinja-mae". A few minute walk from the stop.

Shikano Castle Ruins

Shikano Castle Ruins

The castle was a residence of Korenori Kamei and is famous for beautiful cherry blossoms in spring. You can see its trace in the inner and outer moats. From the ruin of the castle tower, you can view the sea, and you can watch swans, geese, ducks, carps, and other creatures swim in the moat. The castle town is full of old houses and buildings as the town was not destroyed by earthquake.

Access About 20 minutes by bus from Hamamura Station. The nearest bus stop is "Shikano-sogoshisho-mae". About 5 minute walk from the stop.
