The coast is a part of Sanin Coast National Park, locating at Iwami-cho in the east of Tottori City. It has a ria coastline covering about 18 km. You can see granite cliffs eroded by sea water, etc., and large and small islands and rocks on the sea surface, parted by severe erosion. The scenery is very beautiful and is appreciated being called as "Sanin-no-Matsushima." There is a promenade on the coastline, which it is best to hike. Sightseeing boats, from which you can enjoy the superb view from the ocean, operate from March to November.
